The biggest LEGO Pokémon set sold out within 24 hours of preorders going live. The $650 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set is currently unavailable for preorder, though the Eevee and Pikachu set and the Poké Ball set are still up for grabs at lower price points.
If you missed the preorder window, you’ll have another shot on February 27th when the set officially releases. That’s when all three Pokémon LEGO sets ship. These are LEGO’s first Pokémon-themed sets ever, and the demand is clearly there. Right now, all three sets are exclusive to the LEGO Store, so that’s your only option if you want to buy them.
The Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set comes with a bonus. Anyone who buys it gets the Kanto Region Badge Collection set as a free gift with purchase, assuming it stays in stock. LEGO Insiders with 2,500 loyalty points can also redeem those points for a Mini Pokémon Center set starting February 26th. Signing up for LEGO Insider is free if you’re not already a member.
If you want the $650 set when it releases, mark your calendar for midnight Eastern Time on February 27th. New sets drop at midnight, and popular ones like this tend to sell out fast. Getting your order in right when it goes live gives you the best chance of snagging one.
The Pokémon sets mark LEGO’s entry into a franchise that’s been around for decades but never got the brick treatment until now. The fact that the most expensive set sold out in a day shows there’s serious interest in what LEGO does with the license. With three different sets at different price points, LEGO is testing the waters to see how far collectors will go for buildable versions of their favorite Pokémon. The $650 price tag didn’t scare anyone off, and the instant sellout suggests LEGO might expand the line if these initial sets perform well.
Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set releases February 27, 2026 at midnight ET.
